Everton players arrived in Tanzania on Wednesday morning, ahead of the match between SportPesa SuperCup winners Gor Mahia Fc scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Local residents were amazed at the players’ humility-eating at local kibanda and had tea and mandazi for breakfast.
Wayne Rooney was in the company of his fellow mates as they enjoyed their breakfast, not minding their posh and luxurious lifestyles back in England, before starting their training.
Toffees will face K’ogallo, who travelled on Tuesday morning.
The match will be staged at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium where fans across East Africa are expected to fill the 60,000-seater stadium.
