Police on Saturday arrested two terror suspects in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County following a sting operation by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives and those from Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU).
During the raid, the detectives arrested 59-year-old Mohamed Ahmed Bisher and 68-year-old Nashanga Ibrahim, a foreign national at Chepkatet in Kapseret sub-county.
“Sleuths carried the operation within Chepkatet village, in Kapsaret Sub-County, Uasin Gishu County where Bisher Ibrahim, a foreign, were arrested,” said DCI Twitter.
Police managed to recover explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses and boosters during the operation.

The suspects are in police custody and will be arraigned once the investigation is completed.
The ATPU and DCI has vowed to crack down on terror activities in the country more so during the Covid-19 lockdown.
