Kericho: Four people lost their lives in a grisly road accident that occurred Thursday night at a blackspot near Kipsigis Teachers Training College along the Kericho-Litein highway.
The four died after the driver of the Probox vehicle they were travelling in from Litein collided head-on with a Canter Lorry which was moving in the opposite direction.
Bureti Sub County Commissioner Timothy Nderitu said the 8pm accident occurred after one of the Canter's tyres came off, making it swerve into the Probox's lane.
“The four accident victims died on the spot while three others were rushed to Kapkatet District Hospital nursing serious body injuries,” said Nderitu.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to Kapkatet District Hospital mortuary.
