Bomet, Kenya: Shock engulfed a village in Bomet County after a man went berserk and attacked his brother's children with a blunt object, inflicting serious head injuries.
The two children aged five and seven years are now admitted at Tenwek Mission Hospital in critical condition following the Sunday night incident, which has left residents of Legimbo Village stunned.
Gibson Kirui said his elder brother, Richard Rono; the attacker, went to his house to collect milk when the two minors followed him to his homestead to see a new born baby.
Mr Kirui said after reaching his house, Mr Rono turned against the minors and beat them up leaving them for dead.
He added that Rono's wife raised alarm and when he rushed to the scene, he found the two children bleeding heavily with huge wounds on their heads.
