Mathare United goalkeeper Duncan Ochieng has proved many critics wrong following his outstanding performance this season.
If league leader United win the Kenyan Premier League title this year, one of the reasons will be that Ochieng was simply unbeatable in goal.
Initially overshadowed by Arnold Origi at club and national level, Ochieng who at one time pursued greener pastures abroad has quickly cemented his place in the United line-up.
He now has no equal having won over the confidence of coach Francis Kimanzi and appears to get better with every game.

His great performance at club level has earned him a return to the national team Harambee Stars
He was recalled for the second round of the World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia and Guinea although he did not play in any of the matches.
He should not find it difficult breaking into the team during the third and crucial round of the qualifiers which kick-off in March next year.
Ochieng has plenty of international experience having been a first choice goalkeeper for the national team four years ago.
His worst performance was during a World Cup qualifier against Morocco in 2003 when he soaked in five goals in the 5-1 loss to the Atlas Lions.
