Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has given his deputy a three-day ultimatum to resume duty failure to which he will withdraw his privileges.
The governor accused Deputy Governor Stephen Mutai of absconding duty for more than one year, and threatened to withdraw his official car and staff attached to him.
"I have not seen him working with us for the last one year. He must return to work within the shortest time possible," said Ruto who spoke in Konoin.
He added: "He has neglected his duties and is now going round gossiping. I doubt if he has acquainted himself with what he is supposed to do as my deputy. I am the one who should assign him duties yet he has not reported to work for more than a year."
On the other hand, Mr Mutai accused his boss of frustrating him.
