Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominated Senator Janet Ong'era has expressed disappointment over the manner the party grassroots elections were conducted in Kisii.

She stormed out of a meeting at a Kisii hotel on Wednesday where delegates were meeting to elect the county co-ordinating committee. She said youths and women should have been left to elect their own leaders.

"We cannot continue to impose leaders in our party. We need to build a vibrant party in readiness for 2017 but all these efforts are thwarted by some individuals who think they own the party," said Ongera.
