President William Ruto will leave for Rwanda on Tuesday, April 4 for a two-day State Visit.

Regional trade, security and food situation in the East African Community will dominate talks between Ruto and his host, President Paul Kagame.

According to Hussein Mohamed, Kenya's State House Spokesperson, President Ruto will be in Kigali on the invitation of President Kagame.

"The Two Heads of State are expected to deliberate on areas of mutual interest and cooperation, including the Northern Corridor integration projects, food security, innovation and ICT, health and education," Mohamed said in his statement dated Tuesday, April 4.

The visit is expected to enhance trade and commerce cooperation within the East Africa Community (EAC) and the African continent at large, said Mohamed.

The security situation in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will also form part of the talks.
