Police found the body of Martin Nyaga hanging from the ceiling with a rope tied around his neck

Police in Nairobi are investigating the death of middle-aged man who was found dead in his apartment along Mbagathi way, Lang'ata Constituency.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the late, identified as Martin Nyaga might have committed suicide.

Lang'ata sub county police boss Monica Kimani confirmed the incident stating that the body of the late who had been reported missing for days has already been moved to City mortuary awaiting autopsy.

Police who were alerted by the apartment's caretaker, were forced to break into the house and found the body hanging from the ceiling with a rope tied around his neck.

Elsewhere in Mombasa County, police are in hot pursuit of two armed robbers who stole an unknown amount of cash and mobile phone accessories from an M-Pesa shop in Bamburi area.

According to a CCTV footage shared by police, one of the suspected robbers is seen entering the M-Pesa shop and removes an AK-47 rifle from his backpack as his accomplice ransacks the drawers collecting cash and other mobile accessories.

However, the lady who was in the shop was left unharmed during the Sunday, 26 February incident.
