Police are questioning a man who was found with more than 20 bullets in his house in Nairobi West estate.
Acting on a tip off detectives raided the house on Friday night. The motive of keeping the ammo is not yet known.
Officers handling the case say they are looking for his accomplices.
Witnesses said the bullets were hidden under the suspect’s bed.

The operation is aimed at taming crime and terrorism. Police have in the past few weeks been conducting such raids in the city following fears of attacks.
Nairobi PPO Anthony Kibuchi said they have mobilised more police officers to ensure the city is free of crime and terrorists.
“But we also urge for continued public alertness and vigilance to ensure we address this problem. Terrorism is real,” said Kibuchi.
Two terror attacks in the city using improvised explosive devices last week claimed four people and left more than 10 others injured in Eastleigh. The first occurred along Juja Road where three people died while the second on Friday took place on First Avenue Eastleigh where a suspected suicide bomber died.
Elsewhere, two people were on Saturday night shot and seriously wounded in a robbery in Tena estate, Nairobi. A gang of three raided a home where occupants were hosting visitors. Police say the owner of the house and a visitor were injured and unknown amount of money and valuables stolen.
