One of the IEBC officials who presided over the August 8 election at Nyamachaki Polling Station in Nyeri Town Constituency has been charged before the Magistrate's Court for failing to submit election forms.
Patrick Mwangi Ndung’u was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo and charged with failing to submit forms 32, 32A, 34A, 35A, 36A, 37A, 38A, 39A and 42.
He was also charged that on August 9, 2017 at Nyeri National Polytechnic he breached his official duty by failing to present the voters’ register and polling station diary to Returning Officer.
Ndung’u denied the charges when he appeared in court on Friday.
The case was adjourned to October 23, 2017 as the prosecution prepares its case for the hearing.
