NAIROBI: CORD co-principal Raila Odinga wants the Government to clarify to Kenyans how it spent the Sh141 billion from the Eurobond.
Raila said Kenya's economy cannot absorb such huge sums of money in one year.
In a statement, the former prime minister said Kenyans ought to know the status of the country's economy since "an overwhelming majority of Kenyans have reached the limits of belt-tightening".
"What did the Government do with Sh141 billion, which is reflected in last year's budget? he asked.

He continued: "If it was used to build infrastructure, we would be seeing those developments."
Raila claimed the amount "can build a new Thika Superhighway, plus all the bypasses around Nairobi in addition to financing KenGen's 280 MW project, the Greenfield terminal and Lamu Port, in addition to many other mega projects".
Kenyans would be seeing the major infrastructure if the Government had pumped the money into infrastructure, charged Odinga.
He said the economy of the country had taken a turn for the worse with the Jubilee administration struggling to wish away the Eurobond loan and its mismanagement.
