A study carried out at Bath University showed that women with three and more children aged much faster than those with two or one. The scientists claim that pregnancy, breastfeeding and childcare increased oxidative stress on one’s body thus prematurely aging it.
“We have shown that post-menopausal women who had fewer children were judged by both men and women, as more attractive, younger and healthier than women with more children.”
Another study by anthropologists at Yale University revealed that having children speeds up the ageing process in women and great DNA damage was found in those who had been pregnant at least four times.
