A man has been killed in Ndhiwa sub-county because of a woman.
Edward Wabwire, 37, was stabbed with a knife at a home in Sango village, Kabouch location, yesterday.
Homa Bay County Police Commander John Omusanga said Mr Wabwire was trailed by two men who thought he had disappeared with their girlfriend.
Wabwire's mission in the village was unclear since he lives in Western region.
"The information we have is that a group of men trailed Wabwire... They stabbed him with a knife and he died on the spot," said Mr Omusanga.

He said they had obtained crucial leads which would enable police arrest the suspects.
"Investigations are underway and the suspects have been identified," he added.
In a separate incident, a notorious motorbike theft suspect was lynched in Gem West location, Rangwe sub-county.
Joseph Otieno was stoned to death by a mob after he was cornered on his maize farm.
The incident was confirmed by area Chief Florence Okombo.
The two bodies were taken to Homa Bay County hospital mortuary.
