Located in the town at the junction along the Nairobi-Kisii highway, the hotel’s captivating entrance is lined with potted plants and comfy chairs that attract the attention of people passing by.

There is a goat-roasting corner where sizzling nyama choma is grilled. The goats are sourced from the neighbouring Transmara district, which explains why they are tasty and juicy.

Private dining room

More comfy chairs are spread inside the hotel on which revellers sit to enjoy their drinks and meals as they watch sports or other entertaining programmes on two television sets.

There is also a private dining room, which sits about 15 people. This room is ideal for groups that require privacy.

Food is relatively cheap at between Sh100 and Sh300. Traditional meals are plenty, including indigenous vegetables, millet ugali, mukimo, nduma, yams and sweet potatoes among others. You will also get the famous mursik (sour blackened milk), which is popular among the Kipsigis. Service here is fast, which is a good thing especially for travellers who rarely have much time to spare while on the road. A separate bar serves alcoholic drinks. However, revellers can choose to sit in the cubicles that allow more privacy.

For those wishing to spend the night, there are ten self-contained rooms that go for Sh 800 inclusive of breakfast.
