Manchester United now lead the race to sign Paul Pogba, according to reports in Spain.
The French international's agent, Mino Raiola, is in talks with the Old Trafford club about taking the 23-year-old back to the Premier League, according to Madrid-based sports daily AS.
Pogba left the club for free in 2012 after Sir Alex Ferguson failed to give him a fair chance in the first team, and has privately said that he would prefer a move to La Liga than to England.
But United's financial might has put them in the lead for his signature as Jose Mourinho looks to remodel his squad and Ed Woodward aims to sign superstars that can help enhance the club's brand around the world.
