Manchester, England: Louis van Gaal has refused to deny Manchester United's interest in Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
The former Spurs man has been subject of much speculation after reports in Spain linked him with a £120million move to Old Trafford.
At his press conference ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Newcastle United, Van Gaal was tight-lipped - although he did admit he would discuss such dealings with Ed Woodward.
He said: "I cannot discuss that with you. I discuss that with my CEO and not with anyone of the media."
Bale would add to a plethora of attacking talent already at United, as they look to restore their status among Europe's elite.
