Chiki Kuruka, whose real name is Chikwere Onwukwe, shared a heartfelt message to her husband, Kenyan hitmaker Bien-Aime Baraza, ahead of Valentine's Day.
The celebrity couple had been in a relationship for eight years before finally tying the knot on 6 March 2020 in a private wedding in Lavington. Chiki, a 30-year-old fitness instructor and choreographer, is of Nigerian and Swiss descent.
Despite controversies surrounding their open marriage and vasectomy discussions, the couple has remained together and stronger than ever.
In a sweet and emotional video on Chiki's Instagram page, the two are seen enjoying a romantic moment, further solidifying their under-the-radar happy marriage. The talented choreographer then shared a heartfelt message reflecting on their journey together.
The caption read: "I was holding this for Valentine's Day but felt today was the right time to post. When we got married, I promised to place our friendship first. That means holding your hand and reminding you that you are amazing, even in tough times."
Chiki went on to discuss the challenges they have faced in their marriage. However, they have remained one of Kenya's most private celebrity couples.
Additionally, she highlighted the difficulty of cancelling the USA tour, writing: "This last week has tested us both as individuals. We have fought every fight possible to deliver an incredible tour experience, to best honour our incredible fans. We lost this particular battle. But despite that, together, we will figure it out."
Chiki is not only Bien's wife but also his fitness instructor, choreographer, and manager. She is deeply dedicated and has worked diligently to propel the Alusa Why Are You Topless? star to where he is today.
Bien-Aime is an award-winning artiste who has defied the odds and taken Kenyan music to international heights. He submitted an entry for the Grammy Awards with his acclaimed album Alusa Why Are You Topless? and continues to be unstoppable as his music resonates worldwide.
