A rising star in the Kenyan EDM scene is Sofiya Nzau, the female artiste behind the smash hit "Mwaki." Currently one of East Africa's most-streamed artists, Sofia has gained global recognition for her unique blend of Gikuyu lyrics and electronic dance music. Kenyan Swing

Kenyan Swing is a fresh sound that blends Afroswing with a local Kenyan touch. This movement is spearheaded by artistes like Mr. Frank White, who released a full album titled "Taigwa Ngoma" dedicated to the genre, and Dreekz, who has found success with tracks like "Sina Say" and Lonely and Kenyan-UK act Bigzy.

While still a relatively new genre, Kenyan Drum and Bass (DnB) is gaining traction thanks to the efforts of the Jungle Culture Crew, alongside DnB star Degs and Onedownlive Their dedication to making DnB mainstream is evident, and their work is slowly but surely introducing Kenyan audiences to this electrifying sound.

Kenyan Rock/Metal

Kenyan Rock and Metal may not be new, but progressive acts like Autometal and Lonetree are breathing new life into the genre. Autometal, led by Gunn, has infused elements of hard rock and metal into their sound, even releasing a full hard rock album. With their determination and talent, the sky is truly the limit for Kenyan Rock/Metal.
