Kiba's dream of playing football at a national level has finally come true after he signed a one-year contract deal with Coastal FC.
The 31-year-old is expected to play around 20 games ahead of the 2018/19 season in the Tanzanian Premier League.
Taking to their social media, the club made the official announcement.
‘’Welcome to Coastal Union,’’ a post by the Tanga based club read in part complete with Kiba’s photo in the team’s official jersey.
Although word is already out, the newly wed ‘Aje’ hitmaker is yet to officially make an announcement of his new career move leaving room for many to speculate that it could be a possible publicity stunt to push the club’s brand.
An ardent supporter of Yanga Sports Club, Kiba has been an amateur player for several clubs in Tanzania including organizing games for local teams to participate in.
Will this be the end of his music career?
Kiba has made his name in East Africa as one of the top bongo artists with well paying endorsements under his belt.
