Blogger Robert Alai has taken to his massively followed social media pages to share a picture of his Head of State Commendation.
Sharing the picture, Alai dared his followers to say whatever they had concerning his commendation ‘or forever hold their peace.’
Alai received the award from President Uhuru Kenyatta in December along with other Kenyans including Martin Kamotho alias Githeri Man for their outstanding and distinguished services to the country in various capacities.
The Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (C.G.H) is the highest honour in the country. It is followed by the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (E.G.H.) then the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (M.G.H.).

The Uhodari Medal, Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.), Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.), Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.), the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya, the Distinguished Conduct Order, the Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star of Kenya and the Head of State’s Commendation (Military Division and Civilian Division) follow in that order.
Alai’s post of his medal was met with mixed reactions as Kenyans took the chance to weigh on the commendation debate that was ripe during last year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations when the President issued them:
Robert their a time you where against govt the same has awarded you. People are not happy when you Excel go go Alai next Trump will commend you!
