Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar is in mourning after the loss of his mother Aisha Abdillahi Suleiman Mazrui.
In his message to Omar, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho describe the deceased as a ‘kind and generous’ woman, known to many in Mombasa's Old Town.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also passed his message of condolences to the family and friends of the Omar stating:
It is with profound shock and a deep sense of loss that I have learnt of the death of Mama Aisha Abdillahi Suleiman Mazrui, mother of former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar Sarai. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and relatives.
