American rapper Future was in Tanzania this past weekend where he headlined the Castle Lite Unlocks series of shows held quarterly.
Among those who were on the line-up were Diamond Platnumz, Kundi La Weusi, Vanessa Mdee, Navy Kenzo all from Tanzania and rapper Cassper Nyovest from South Africa.
The “Mask Off” rapper did give African rap a nod during an interview where he said African Rap is great and that it is now more than ever reaching over to the world.
He also revealed that he and Wizkid shall be working on a track to be released soon.
The show attracted many fans from all over East Africa. The response and reaction online is that the show was worth is as the performers did bring the energies.
