Wavinya has a missile at Dr Mutua asking the EACC and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions  to investigate his source of funds.

Chama Cha Uzalendo chairperson Wavinya Ndeti has little love for Machakos Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua.

Wavinya has fired another missile at the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement founder, this time asking the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to investigate his source of funds.

A visibly agitated Wavinya told journalist at her office that Mutua had lied to the people of Machakos, and that he should be held to account for all his misdeeds.

“Let Mutua know that Machakos people are fed up with his nonsense and that they are aware he has been doing a lot of ‘Afrosinema.’ He should that for movie actors, the start of a film also implies the beginning of its end. We are sure the movie has come to an end,” Wavinya said.

She asked other governors who are letting Mutua to tour their counties to be on the lookout, or else Mutua will soil their names as they watch.

The former Youth Affairs Assistant Minister who lost to Mutua in the March 4, 2013 general election has claimed the governor has been misusing Machakos funds, and has warned that payback time is coming soon.

“As he took himself to the EACC and declared his wealth without being questioned, let him also go to court and let the judicial process run its course. Should he be found innocent, then the court will set him free. He should not run from justice,” said Wavinya.

“Mutua claims he receives funds from well-wishers. If that is so, we demand to know the circumstances under which those funds are given. Are they given as personal donations or contributions to the county? He is a governor who has not brought any development for the people of Machakos County,” Wavinya added.

According to Wavinya, Mutua’s big investment is in entertainment, which he did to capture the people’s attention. She claims that the governor has forgotten the electorate outside Machakos town.
