Popular musician Roy Smith Mwatia better know as Rufftone has been officially reappointed as the goodwill ambassador of the Republic of Korea.
Rufftone was feted in an official ceremony hosted at the Korean Embassy in Nairobi. Ki-Jun YOU, the charge d'affaires, handed the musician an appointment letter to allow him serve a second term as the Goodwill Envoy for Public Diplomacy.
Ki-Jun, who is in charge of the activities of the Korean Embassy to Kenya, said they chose Rufftone for the role because of his influence on Kenyan youth and the enthusiasm he showed in the last one year when he was on probation at the embassy. "We are very confident that he will continue doing a good job," Ki-Jun said.
