PK, the latest movie that was released on December 19, starring Aamir Khan has received a lot of feedback.
Indians claimed the movie was a violation of their faith.
However, actors have taken to social media to support the film’s boldness and brilliancy.
Talking to the media, the director of the movie, Rajkumar Hirani, said they had no intentions to hurt anyone’s feelings and maintained that the movie was in true spirit of religion and only condemns ‘the abuse’ of it.
“I’m deeply saddened and concerned about the protests by some groups against our film PK. On behalf of the entire team , I would like to clarify that we respect all religions and faiths,” he said, adding that, “Our movie is inspired by the ideas of Sant Kabir and Mahatma Gandhi. It is a movie which brings the thought that all humans that inhabit this planet are the same.”
