A police officer attached to Makueni police station is reported to have chopped off a lawyer's right hand yesterday night at his house at Emmy flats in Westlands estate, Wote town.
Eyewitnesses say the lawyer together with the lady arrived at his house at around 6:30pm and they closed the room from inside.
An hour later, tenants heard a commotion in the house located on the second floor of the building, and the officer was seen running downstairs. The tenants then shut the main entrance.
The lawyer who was crying for help was found lying in a pool of blood, with one of his hands almost cut off, among other injuries

The officer is suspected to have used a panga which was recovered in the house.
The lawyer was taken to Makueni Referral Hospital and later today morning he was taken to KNH while in a critical condition.
The officer identified as Nancy Njeri was taken away by fellow police officers.
