A 37-year-old man has been arrested in Trans Nzoia for forcing his daughter to drop out of school to become his wife.
The girl, a Standard Seven pupil at a local school, has missed classes since March, according to a local chief.
Sources told The Sunday Standard that the man had quarrelled with his wife and sent her packing earlier this year.
Following the separation with his wife, the man turned to his daughter.

An elder got wind of the incest and reported it to the chief who led police to arrest the man said to be a boda boda rider.
Matisi location chief Janet Nafula said the suspect is being investigated and will be arraigned.
The administrator said the girl had been handed to a rescue home.
