Health CS Mutahi
Kagwe on Monday, July 13, announced that 12 more people had died from COVID-19 bringing
the total number of deaths to 197.
Speaking at
Afya House Nairobi, the Health CS also noted that 189 people tested positive for
coronavirus after testing 1,205 samples in the last 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases now stand at 10,294.
CS Kagwe also noted that 65 patients were discharged from
the hospital bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,946.
Out of the 189 new cases, 106 of are male while 83 are
female all aging between 5 and 71 years.

Nairobi County is leading with the highest number of cases (147).
The cases are distributed as follows; Dagoretti North (77), Embakasi East (10),
Makadara (10), Embakasi South (9), Kibra (9), Embakasi West (6), Langata (4),
Kamukunji and Kasarani (2) cases each while Dagoretti South, Embakasi Central
and Embakasi North have one (1) case each.
