Homeboyz scored two converted tries in each half to start the 2019-20 Kenya Cup season with a 26-13 win over Kenya Harlequin at the Jamhuri Showground yesterday.
The result saw Quins, under the tutelage of new coach Dominic Habimana, suffer their second loss to Homeboyz in two weeks having failed to beat the Deejays at the Floodlit tournament.
“Today Homeboyz came prepared. They were strong as usual so we’ll go back to the drawing board and sort out the things that didn’t work for us,” Habimana said.
The former Kenya 15s assistant coach lamented poor decision making as he rued the absence of their playmaker Eden Agero.
Homeboyz took a 16-8 lead at halftime after scoring a converted try and a penalty while Quins managed an unconverted try and a penalty.
