14-year-old girl murdered in Kisii

The body of 14-year-old class 8 girl has been found dumped at Maili Mbili, Kiong'anyo in Kisii County.

According to area Chief Justus Omari, the primary school pupil from Kiong'anyo left home yesterday evening to fetch goats from the field, and she never returned home.

“We are told that the girl was sent by her parents to fetch goats from a nearby grazing field but failed to return, raising curiosity from her parents on her whereabouts.”

A resident, identified as Mr. Okioma said that the girl is suspected to have been raped and then murdered.

The body was found this morning (Monday 15th) at a nearby river bank after a whole night search by family members.

 Investigations are currently ongoing to unveil the suspects in connection to the horrible incident.
