Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) yesterday announced a Sh3m sponsorship deal the Sports Personality of the Year Awards (Soya).
The sponsorship deal was unveiled ahead of the 15th edition of the Soya gala which will see country’s best sports men and women honoured for their 2018 achievements at Fort Jesus, Mombasa on January 11.
Speaking at the cheque handover ceremony held at a Nairobi Hotel, CA Director for Frequency Spectrum Management, Tom Olwero appreciated the partnership it enjoys with Soya.
“Communications Authority has been a proud partner of this initiative for the past nine years. We believe in the spirit of sportsmanship. We also acknowledge the role sports plays in Kenya and the great effort our sportsmen and women put in to excel,” Olwero said.

At the same time, SuperSport and MultiChoice Kenya announced a Sh 750,000 boost for Soya.
