Dairy farmers in Pokot South have accused middlemen of fleecing them. The farmers said efforts to shake off brokers had not borne fruit.

Robert Merisya, a dairy official, said middlemen bought milk at between Sh25 and Sh34 per litre and sold it at Sh45.
"They are to blame for the high cost of milk," he said.
