State should reward our athletes better

The Government should put in place measures and reward systems that make it hard for other nations to 'poach' Kenyan athletes.

More than 30 Kenyan-born athletes run for other countries, which seemingly offer better rewards.

Countries like the oil-rich Bahrain and Turkey have taken advantage of the desperate financial situations that our athletes have been facing to lure them and change their citizenship and compete for them.

Kenya Athletics Federation needs to find a long-lasting solution before we lose our best athletes to other countries.
