Residents point to witchcraft after a swarm of bees cling to a motorcycle in Makueni

A photo of bees clang on a motorycle has been making rounds on social media, with people speculating why the bees could have stuck on the bike.

Word on the social media streets said that the owner of a stolen motorcycle had gone to a witchdoctor to help recover his motorcycle. The witchdoctor apparently sent the swarm of bees to get back his motorcycle.

The incident which happened in Kikima Market in Mbooni Sub-County, Makueni saw villagers surround the scene in an effort to understand what was happening.

The owner of the bike stood at a distance as he was afraid of the bees.

Local authorities however disputed the witchcraft rumours and said that it was a natural phenomenon.

The bees took about one hour on the bike before dispersing.
