Investment firm, Centum, through its Vipingo Development subsidiary, has launched a scholarship programme in Kilifi County.

The company will award 50 scholarships annually to students joining high school who score more than 300 marks in KCPE. In addition, Centum plans to set up a vocational training centre in the area and give scholarships to residents to acquire useful technical skills for their own economic empowerment.

As part of its corporate social responsibility agenda, Vipingo Development has set aside a budget to upgrade education facilities in the region annually. Two primary schools, Timboni Primary School and Makonde Primary School, have already benefited from this fund.

Last Saturday, Centum directors visited the county to inspect their various CSR projects.
