The media needs to rethink its role in society after the Donald Trump victory. A majority of media houses were openly against President candidate Donald Trump. There was a clear bias in how news about the US elections were covered.
Trump needed to be dramatic to get the attention of the media and as a result spent very little on media coverage compared to her rival Hillary.
The media and the polsters are clearly getting it wrong when it comes to getting genuine responses from the masses. The two entities need to differentiate between what is actually said by the audiences and what they trully mean.
The negative publicity media gave to Trump just made him popular, and the biased projections made by media and the polls also gave Hillary false hopes which is damaging to its credibility.
