We are all to blame for road madness

Despite the establishment of the road transport authority, our roads are still death traps. Traffic police have continuously undermined every effort being made to sanitize our roads.

They solicit and take bribes in full public glare. The players in the sector have also continued to flout traffic rules because they are sure of getting away with it.

Our problem is far from being over; we all operate with impunity. This is the main reason why most well to do Kenyans cannot dare ride in matatus. Deregistering a matatu Sacco is being reactive and this will not achieve the desired results.
