Mr Raila's proposal came in the wake of a statement by Kiambu Governor William Kabogo that support by Central Kenya voters for Ruto in 2022 was not guaranteed.
The former premier should understand that the deputy president is a political schemer, and he has therefore planned his political survival well.
Ruto will not rescind his decision to support the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2017 because he knows where he has come from, where he is and where he is going.
But the former Prime Minister has forgotten that Ruto worked hard to ensure residents of Rift Valley voted for him to the last man only for him to frustrate Ruto while minister for Agriculture.
