Lewandowski heads to Real Madrid for six-year contract

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is believed to have held talks with Real Madrid concerning his future in Spain football.

Lewandowski hinted move to the Spain based club earlier in April after leading Bayern Munich’s campaign in claiming 2015/2016 Bundesliga title, with 30 goals.

The standard on Saturday learned from the German news magazine Spiegel that talks between the two clubs were underway.

"Real Madrid contacted us a few weeks ago, we listened to everything they said. It's a big and exciting club. We have informed FC Bayern that we've held talks with Madrid." said Lewandowski’s agent Cezary Kucharski.

"Contracts are not a holy relic in football. You can like this attitude or not but it's the truth. Sometimes you have to think about if it is meaningful to try out a new impulse." said Lewandowski.

Real Madrid, who play Atletico Madrid in today’s champions league final, are said to offer Lewandowski a six-year-contract with €25 million a year, if he accept the deal.
