The state of the road to AIC Kijabe Hospital is worrying.
For many years the Gichiengo-Kijabe road has been neglected, despite being a vital link to the hospital and schools within Kijabe.
Residents and travellers have consistently raised concerns and a passionate appeal to have the road constructed and repaired but their words have been falling on deaf ears.
It is regrettable that most passengers who use the road are either patients or relatives of the patients going to see them.
The road has giant potholes and the tarmac is worn out, making it almost impassable to vehicles especially ambulances. It is also that some patients in need of orthopaedic care are the most affected because of the many potholes on the way.
