Attacks by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Deputy President William Ruto have now become personal.

This shows that Raila is bitter about failure by Ruto to support him, a move that has locked him out of the presidency.

The former PM should perhaps stop blaming his political misfortunes on Ruto whom he mishandled during the former coalition government.

Raila knows well that without the support of Ruto in politics, he is going nowhere and that is why he has been persistent in calling for a lifestyle audit of the DP.

The former PM should engage in constructive criticism instead of personalising issues for selfish gains. Raila should know that Ruto is blessed because he gives and that his donations should not bother him.

But why is it that the Opposition leaders are so bitter with someone who donates to the less fortunate members of the society?

Raila should leave Ruto alone and look for ways of convincing Kenyans to elect him in 2017 instead of criticising Ruto.
