A sigh of relief to teachers as Teachers Service Commission (TSC) finally releases September salaries after two months delay.
TSC has released the teachers September pay a few hours to KNUT Annual General Meeting set for Wednesday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta last month asked TSC to consider releasing the withheld September salaries for teachers after holding talks with the two teachers’ unions at State House, Nairobi.
Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) had accused TSC of reneging on the president's directive.
