The plea by Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi requesting the court to allow the Teachers Service Commission to employ more teachers is a clear indicator of a far-sighted leader.
Prof Kaimenyi knows that old-fashion teaching methods by rusty teachers will diminish educational standards.
In the current situation, teachers only prepare students to pass exams. They don’t impart educational skills.
As was seen from a recent research, a Standard Seven pupil in a public school cannot answer a Standard two question.
Thumps up Kaimenyi. I view you as an angel out to save Kenya’s education.
