Africa is endowed with unrivalled resources such as gold, copper, petroleum and diamond, among others. Its good soils could feed millions and its flora and fauna is world-famous.
However, the scourge of maladministration continues to ravage Africa. Decades after attaining independence, there is little to show for it development-wise, as power-hungry leaders continue to cling to power.
Heart-wrenching poverty is evident on the continent. Families go to bed hungry while schools are understaffed but teem with many knowledge-thirsty children. Strikes are not uncommon. The health sector is on its deathbed. Even curable diseases wreak havoc in families as the most lethal ones such as Ebola and HIV condemn the youthful population to early graves.
Infrastructure needs quick fixing. Roads, railways, ports and airports are dilapidated. Any major project is riddled with controversy.
Africa is the storehouse of troubles. Conflicts, civil wars, tribal clashes and coup d’etats are commonplace.

It’s obvious that a lot needs to be done to fix Africa’s problems. Otherwise, the continent shall forever be the subject of ridicule, shame and domination by major global players.
