Reports that Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto is ready to form his own party to use in defending his position during the next General Election is timely.
This will, however, be the beginning of the end of the governor’s political career.
The governor said with all signs that Deputy President William Ruto’s United Republican Party (URP) was readying to close shop, he had to look for options.
Governor Ruto must have come to terms with the fact that he has already been rendered politically irrelevant due to his continued criticism of the DP, the undisputed king of the Kalenjin.
This means that the governor would not like a situation where he would be humiliated in URP or the Jubilee Alliance Party because I’m 100 per cent sure the governor will not have any room in this outfit.
