A chief in Baringo County's Loruk was yesterday arrested and grilled by security officers over the recent spate of insecurity in the volatile area.
Loruk Sub-Location Assistant Chief Samuel Kamuren had been summoned by County Commissioner Peter Okwanyo to Kabarnet town to shed light on recent attacks.
On arrival, the administrator was arrested, bundled into a police vehicle and driven from Kabarnet to Marigat under tight security for interrogation.
Kamuren recorded a statement at Marigat Sub County DCIO's Monica Birir office and was taken to his home in Loruk.
Sources indicated he was to surrender his official firearm.
