Migori, Kenya: Residents of Olasi in Nyatike are trying to come to terms with the death of a two-year-old child who was killed by another aged four.
The circumstances under which the four-year-old minor hacked the other minor remains unclear to the villagers.
One child is alleged to have been hacked with a hoe to death by the other as they were playing late in the evening.
Nyatike police boss Dishon Chebaka said the two minors were reported to have been playing when the incident occurred.
"We received information concerning the incident and it is alleged that the two children were playing together. We have launched our investigations to establish the cause of the minor's death," said Mr Chebaka.
