Moyale, Kenya: One person killed, six police officers and a chief seriously injured in a grisly road accident in Moyale on Saturday night.
The accident occurred few metres from the notorious Holale black spot area in Odda , eight kilometres from Moyale town at about 11pm Saturday.
Confirming the incident Moyale OCPD Thomas Atuti said the officers were on patrol when the vehicle they were traveling in veered off the road and overturned.
He said a civilian woman was killed, six police officers and Odda chief Adan Wario injured in the 11pm accident. Atuti added that the injured officers were rushed to Moyale District Hospital and are undergoing treatment.
Marsabit Red Cross Manager Stephen Bonaya who spoke to the Standard at the hospital said five people were seriously injured and will be airlifted for further treatment in Nairobi.

"They suffered different kind of fractures on their body parts. However, two are in stable condition," he said.
Atuti said the body of deceased was taken to hospital Mortuary for postmortem analysis.
