Youths and women in Rift Valley region have supported Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba’s candidature for ODM Secretary General position.
ODM Youth League National Deputy Treasurer Sheila Kosgei said meetings by youths and women delegates had resolved to support Namwamba.
Kosgei said more meetings had been lined up in Eldoret and Kericho this weekend to woo more delegates from the region to support Namwamba.
She said efforts were also being made to ensure the 357 youth delegates nationally rally behind Namwamba.

“We want to support the Budalang’i MP because he is young and represents we as youthful supporters of the party,” said Kosgei.
A section of youthful delegates from Western Kenya, Namwamba’s home region led by Mr Ben Ombima, have also resolved to back the MP.
Mr Ombima said the call to have balanced representation in ODM would only be good when all positions were considered.
Namwamba will be challenged by nominated senators Agnes Zani and Elizabeth Ongoro, as well as Rarienda MP Nicholas Gumbo.
